The new Shinsan Jutaku model house planned for Kumanichi RKK Housing Exhibition, “Shichu-Sankyo” The proposal for this house was to create a living environment where places for the family to spend time together and places for individual members to enjoy their hobbies are naturally and seamlessly connected to nature, such as trees, wind, and light. Just as abundant trees sprout from the earth, tiles, stones, and diatomaceous earth born from the soil complement the abundant amounts of wood. We aimed to recreate the comfort of being in nature by treating interior and exterior finishes in a similar way.
